Chaudhary Muhammad Barjees Tahir, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-Baltistan has said “United Nations will be a failed organization if it fails to resolve Kashmir and Palestine disputes. India is testing our patience through firing on line of control. Population alongside line of control is vulnerable due to unprovoked firing from Indian side. Third World War is knocking at our doors due to stubborn attitude of India. We made Kashmir Issue as a flash point whereas military dictator had put it in back yards. Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has advocated the cause of Kashmiri People on International fora” He was addressing a public gathering at Hill Top Hotel in Rawalakot.

Federal Minister said, “We will make Azad Kashmir a corruption free zone. In order to materialize the vision of the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, IG Police and Chief Secretary go into masses to hold open courts and provide direct relief to the people against corrupt elements. There will be no compromise on public interest”. While addressing the public gathering he said, “India itself promised right of self determination for the people of Kashmir in UN Security Council. Former Indian Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru, while addressing at Lal Chowk of Sirinagar, pledged to grant right of self determination to the people of Kashmir”.

It is beyond comprehension that if UN can conduct plebiscite in East Timor and South Sudan, why can’t it do the same in Kashmir. Resolution of Kashmir dispute is mandatory to achieve durable peace in South Asia”.
