Corruption behind deprivation in society: Ch. Muhammad Barjees Tahir

 LAHORE, Dec 14 (APP): Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ch Bargis Tahir said on Saturday, corruption had caused economic deprivation but the government was working to set up a corruption-free society. Speaking at Government College of Technology, Sangla Hil, he said that effective steps were not taken in the past to eradicate corruption which resulted in economic deprivation in the country.

He was of his views that even developed countries could not survive without rooting out corruption and stressed collective efforts to eliminate corruption from society.
He applauded the Prime Minister’s Business Youth Loan Scheme which would provide an opportunity to youth to set their own business besides alleviation of unemployment from the country. 
He said that merit would be the only criterion to give loans to unemployment youth.
He asked the youth to come forward and play their role in the development of the country.
