Ch Muhammad Barjees Tahir, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-Baltisan has said that lawyers are asset of the country and that their services, which they rendered during restoration of judiciary, will be written in the annals of history with golden words. Lawyers must support government’s action in its endeavour to uphold the rule of law and supremacy of constitution. He said this while talking to a delegation of lawyers from Nankana Sahid in his office.

While talking to the delegation Federal Minister said that Musharraf trial was not conducted in a bid to rip up a personal score rather it was a constitution demand being fulfilled, which was necessary for the sake of rule of law and the strengthening of institutions. Mushafrraf’s blind eye to the court cannot help him avert his conviction. He said that courts were free in this country and nobody could influence them.
