Fear of courts, main reason of ailment of dictator: Barjees Tahir

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ch Barjees Tahir has said that politicians face accountability, and exile while the dictators like Pervez Musharraf, are afraid of courts. He said the fear of facing consequences was the difference between a politician and a dictator who had feigned heart disease apprently to avoid courts. Addressing the Punjab Youth Festival ceremony at Sangla Hill here on Sunday, the Minister said that Pervez Musharraf had violated the law and the Constitution in 2007. He said the prosecution was a constitutional requirement and necessary for the solidarity of the country as well.

He said Musharraf should come out and face the courts to prove himself a brave person of the yesteryears.

Ch. Barjees said that politicians faced even the Musharraf constituted courts and raised the respect of the institutions of the country.
He said that dictators had weakened the country economically, adding that dictatorship was the reason of the challenges faced by the country on many front
